Moving A Camel to the Grindstone

  1. A poor man have served the king for a long time.
  2. He became very lean and weak.
  3. Out of pity, the kind have him a dead camel.
  4. Since you have served me for a long time, I shall give you a dead camel.
  5. Having received it, the poor man began to cut it. As his knife was very blunt, he looked for a grindstone to grind it. As last, he found one upstairs to sharpen the knife.
  6. He went up to sharpen his knife on the grindstone and came down.

  9. He ran up and down the stairs doing the sharpening and skinning frantically for a while and finally he felt so tired that he could not go on any longer.
  10. What a fool I’ve been! I should have moved the camel upstairs to be closer to the grindstone.
  11. Therefore, he pulled the dead camel upstairs to be near the grindstone, where he could grind his knife.

Explanation:

A stupid man who, by breaking the strict discipline gathers plenty of money and uses it on offering in the hope that he will be born in heaven. This stupid man is just like the poor man who worked hard for little gain in hanging his camel upstairs and sharpening his knife.
