World’s Scientists’ Hunt for God-Particle: Origin of the Universe

Introduction
The world’s scientists officially launched the most marvelluous scientisfic project to hunt for the most elementary constituent or the smallest subatomic particle of a proton on September 10, 2008 in Geneva. The preliminary experiments are currently being carried out in a Large Hadron Collider (LHC). It is the world’s largest Particle Physics laboratory in a 17-mile tunnel and 300 feet beneath the border between Swiss-French border. This most elementary constituent of a subatomic particle of proton is known scientifically as ‘Higgo Boson’. It is also nicknamed by the applied particle scientists as the ‘God-particle’. The God-particle is expected to be found after a recreated mini Big Bang experiment has been carried out in the LHC sometime later after a series of premilinary experiments have been completed. The day of Big Bang test in the LHC will rewrite the history of the Particle Physics and the scientific understanding of the universe if the God-particle is either detected or not detected.
Recreating Big Bang
In the recreation of Big Bang under experimental conditions in LHC, the particle scientists are going to accelerate proton particles from two opposite directions in the most powerful accelerator in the world in the LHC so that the protons will collide so powerfully that they will be smashed by the recreated Big Bang explosion. After the recreated mini Big bang explosion , the smashed proton particles are expected to release subatomic particles which hopefully comprise the God-particle. The detectors in the LHC will study the debris and energy moments after the mini Big Bang from which particle information and data pertaining to the building blocks of the universe will be derived and analysed.
Origin of Universe
God-particle corresponds with the spiritual or religious concept of the God-head (synonymous with Brahman, Tao, Buddha, God and Allah). Spiritually, the God-head is the origin of the buildling blocks of the physical universe. Likewise, the particle scientists or physicists conceive that the discovery of the theretically or hypothetically conceived ‘Higgo Boson’ (God-particle) will unravel the mysteries or origin of the physical universe. The discovery of ‘Higgo Boson’ will help scientists explain the origin of the mass of a subatomic particle, and the true nature of ‘Dark Matter’ comprising 20 % of the universe. This particle research project will eventually unveil the truth of new dimension of time and space. If the truth of Higgo Boson or God-particle is discovered and apprehended, the scientists will help us understand why Man and universe exist. The final outcome of the scientific information and data will unveil the ultimate Truth pertaining to the origin of the physical universe.
This knowledge of Particle Physics can indirectly help us infer and discern the ultimate Reality of God or Emptiness through a comparative study of science and religion. The experiments will not only attract the attention of thousands of world’s scientists but also will capture the interests of world’s spiritual leaders with fundamental scientific backgrounds in Particle Physics. The Messengers of God or the Buddhas have unveiled that it is God or Emptiness which sustains everything in the universe including holding the galaxies together. Particle Physicists believe that ‘Dark Matter’ in the universe sustains the mould of galaxies in the cosmos. They conceive hypothecally that Higgo Boson – the God-particle is the primordial origin of the building blocks of the physical universe.
Left and Right Brains
Perennially put, God or Emptiness is the eternal Law of dependently co-arisen Unity or Non-duality which sustains the universe and also the origin of the manifest phenomenal world. According to spiritual esoteric principle, the God or Emptiness can not be unravelled by Science physically or intellectually. Scientific epistemology is derived from intellectual or conceptual understanding depending on the left-brain function. Conversely, God or Emptiness is derived epistemologically from intuitive realization which relies on right-brain’s intuitive function. The scientists operate with left-brain function not with right-brain function because scientific experiments and formulation of theories demand mainly rational or intellectual thinking or reasoning.
Amazingly, the relationship between Neuro-Science and spiritual Gonosis or Mysticism have been unlocked by Neuro-Scientists or Neuro-Spiritualists recently. Physical Scientists posit substantial ontology and are ontologically committed to all phenomena. They conceive that every scientific term has a corresponding substantial existent. They reify objects and designate every newly discovered entity with a designation or name. They perceive the world conventionally, intellectually on the basis of substantial ontology. Physical scientific theory is derived epistemologically on the basis of rational or logical thinking utilizing the left-brain function. Contigent upon intellectual reasoning and logics, the physical scientists have produced uncountable icons of modern infrastructure or devices since time immemorial hitherto.
Physical scientists are generally extolled because of their incessant altruistic scientific researches and contributions in theories and inventions constructed upon the substantial philosophy of Ontology. Human beings will be rendered impotent or powerless if these so called moderns icons of civilization, such as the discoveries and utilities of electricity and various energy sources, and diverge scientific or technological inventions of software and hardware, logistics and so forth have not been invented on innovated by the scientists since time immemorial. Modernists are truly indebted to the physical scientists for their superb feats of scientific discoveries, formulated theories, innovations and inventions. For instance, Albert Einstein’s discovery and formulated equation of E = MC2 has benefited the modern world civilization tremendously.
Vast Contributions
Modern scientific discoveries and inventions have elevated human potentialities, capacities, productivities and contributions to the world. For all these post-modern conveniences, ease and comforts, the modernists are fully indebted to the experiments and theories or laws unravelled and contributed by the physical scientists. In fact, some scientists had or have toiled solitarily or collectively in a small group in their laboratories throughout their lives in order to discover and invent novelty findings or inventions beneficial to the world. Such physical scientists are indeed the backyard ‘bodhisattvas’ unknown to the world’s populace. The scientists at LHC are concrete examples of scientific backyard ‘bodhisattvas’ unknown to the world’s populace. They are qualified as ‘Backyard’ because they work quietly behind the scene and are generally unknown to the general public. They are designated as ‘Bodhisattvas’ because their wisdom and love benefit the world without discrimination.
Intellectual and Intuitive
The western Perennial Philosophy uncovers that the major’s world religions,
such as Buddhism, Hinduism and Monotheism expound insubstantial or process philosophy of Ontology of dynamic becoming and reject ontological commitment. Religious saints perceive the world both intellectually or logically and intuitively. The religious saints derive epistemologically the eternal and absolute Truth from the mysterious logical paradox of Truth. The mysterious logical paradox of Truth, in actuality, mirrors the absolute Truth of the identity of opposites. Only the intuitive mind of the religious Mystic or Gnostic can intuitively penetrate into the absolute Truth of the identical of opposites. Epistemologically, they develop the perfection of wisdom from intuitive discernment of the Truth.
Identity of Opposites
For instance, Gotama Buddha derived epistemologically microcosmic wisdom from his profound meditation under a bodhi tree. He rediscovered the Truth of dependently co-arisen Unity or Non-duality from the intuitive discernment. The absolute Truth of Unity or Non-duality lies in the middle view of the identity of the opposites. The Truth of the identity of opposites is that the absolute Existence equals absolute Non-Existence. This denotes that the affirmation and negation are acknowledged simultaneously.
Likewise, the Heart Sūtra depicts the absolute Truth in terms of the identity of the opposites brilliantly. The absolute Truth is depicted as ‘Form equals Emptiness’ and ‘Emptiness equals Form’. This Truth of the identity of opposites is synonymous with Monotheists’ knowledge of God. God is the eternal or absolute Truth. The God is also defined as the Truth of the identity of the opposites thus: The One is the many; the many is the One. Therefore, the One equals the many. The God is also the First and the Last. Thus, First equal last. God is too the Beginning and the Ending. Thus, Beginning equals Ending. The God is Unmanifest and the Manifest. Thereby, Unmanifest equals Manifest. Religion unveils that human anguish or bliss is contigent upon whether or not this Truth of the identity of opposites is intuitively apprehended or not.
Hawking’s Cosmic View
Renowned British scientist or physicist, Professor Stephen Hawking opines that the Higgo Boson – the God- particle cannot be found through the scientific experiment of Big Bang. Divinely put, Professor Stephen Hawking’s is insightfully discerning. Professor Stephen Hawking affirmed further that the physical scientists at LHC could possibly ascertain only the superpartners or complimentary contigent beings for the all existing particles which particle physicists have discovered hitherto. Professor Stephen Hawking’s doctrinal assertion resonates with the ultimate Truth or Reality expounded by the Prophets or the Buddhas that the God-head is insubstantial or empty. In Buddhism. Emptiness does not denote Nothingness. It connotes Unity or Oneness. The physical scientists perceive the Higgo Boson – the God-particle as the most elementary substantial or premodial particle of an atom. According to Buddhism, Vedānta and Process Theism, a substantial ultimate entity does not exist. It exists insubstantially.
Please do not mistake that I pour cold water upon the LHC’s particle hunting project. The particle project must be continued until the ultimate particle truth is unveiled to the scientists and the world. When the ultimate particle truth is ascertained, the whole world will benefit enormously because the physical scientists are leading the world to tread on the right path to unlock the gate to the mysterious universe. The immediate benefit may not be experienced but it could be a big turning point in human life. Knowledge is always a great power if it is capitalized or utilized with human wisdom, secularly and spiritually.
Alternative Achievement
Even the God-particle was not discovered, the scientists would have accomplished an alternative marvellous mission on behalf of the spiritualists: They would have helped vindicate the eternal and absolute Truth of God or Buddha that God-head is not visible to the naked eyes but it exists. The Truth of God or Buddha is that IT exists as well as IT does not exist. The state of both existence and non-existence is beyond the perception of human senses. It is beyond the domain of the scientific research and the minds of the physical scientists. This Truth of identity of opposites can not be discovered by scientists intellectually nor be detected by the detectors in LHC physically. The physical scientists and the LHC are only adept at detecting or identifying physical knowledge but not the transcendental spiritual knowledge. At the climax or summit of spiritual knowledge, the knowledge lies in the mysterious state of neither existence non-existence, that is the Truth of the identity of the opposites. Only the Gnostics or Mystics can discern this mysterious, unfathomed Truth of God but not for the scientists.
If our brilliant physical scientists complimented their scientific wisdom with spiritual wisdom and eventually emerged to be scientific or particle Gnostics or Mystics, then their brains would be unequalled and unsurpassed and yet they would remain in genuine humility. A scientist can be a Gnostic or Mystic without any obstruction in his career as a scientist. Religion is meant for everyone actually. Science and religion do not collide even if the scientists can place them in the super-accelerator in the LHC.
If this is the unexpected experimental outcome , we would still congratulate all the scientists at the LNC for a lofty work that will be concluded with a win-win situation. Even the result is beyond expectation is still a result of no-result. The no-result is still a result as far religious insight is concerned. In the eyes of the spiritual saints, no-result is not nothing but Emptiness. It is theosophically significant.
Emptiness is the absolute Truth of Unity or Non-duality which is ineffable. Emptiness is synonymous with the absolute Truth of Brahman, Tao, Buddha, God or Allah. Most importantly, we ought to congratulate them for promoting and fostering the alliance of scientisfic civilizations between the west and the east to search for a communal scientisfic truth. It is a critical particle truth which will shape our right understanding of the universe and will change the history of the Particle Physics. A scientisfic United Nations organization is created in LHC at Geneva. Such a noble collaborative effort of the gathering of a human family of scientists and engineers should be extolled by all. Any global effort to unify the brilliant brains of diverge nationalities for the highest good of mankind is highly commendable.

I always perceive the members of any noble international alliance of a non-profit organization as the backyard ‘bodhisattvas’. It is the most lofty, and most expensive scientisfic project ever undertaken by Man on earth. The alliance between the west and the east is the unity of the finest contigent beings or conditions (finest engineers, applied scientists all over the world and other elites of multi-nationalities ). The unity of the finest scientific geniuses on earth will bring forth the strongest mould of Unity to bless the entire world. About 9,000 scientists are conducting researches on particle physics in LHC directly or indirectly through LHC computer networking linked to 170 institutions in 33 countries. This is another collaborative alliance of civilizations which ought to be extolled. It is important that the best brains are put together to derive the highest good for Man to make this planet earth a better place to dwell upon.
Unity of Finest Brains
This most brilliant scientific or technological feat will eventually help maximize human potential and bring forth the highest good of Man for the benefit of all on our planet earth. Of course, the unity of brilliant minds must be guided by the wisdom of righteousness or religious wisdom. The peaceful utility of nuclear power, the superb service of information technology, such as internet, modern high-tech telecommunications, efficient and rapid logistics and countless scientific hardware and software are fine examples of the merits of scientific discoveries and inventions. Any abuse of scientific know-how is the not the flaw or fallibility of the scientists. The fault or fallibility lies in the unfriendly users who neglect religion and are over-obsessed with post-modernism. Religious neglect is ignorance. Ignorance is the non-awareness of the wisdom of religious traditionalism which makes us a far better person in life.
Backyard Bodhisattvas
Many eminent scientists are actually the backyard ‘bodhisattvas’. They silently and solitarily or collectively sacrifice their whole life in continuous altruistic researches and discoveries of scientific truths and the formulation of theories. They are motivated by a noble quest of uncovering the hidden truths to illuminate and benefit world’s populace in the field of science and modernism. The scientific truths discovered are developed into practical knowledge and pragmatic skills to make life efficient, effective and comfortable for all. The scientists and the spiritual leaders play the communal role - the obliteration of ignorance of truths which better human life.
Science and Religion
Science does not collide with religion. In fact, it is an important portion of the phenomenal world in this modern era emphasizing the culture of enhanced productivity and resultant meritocracy. The phenomenal world is a mirror which reflects the Truth uncovered by religion. Without the mirror of the phenomenal world, the Truth is too abstruse for the human beings to discern. The discovery of Perennial Philosophy, Process Philosophy and Theosophy by the western religious or philosophical savants, thinkers or Intelligentsia have vindicated the wisdom of eastern religions of Vedānta of Hinduism, Taoism, Buddhism, Neo-Confucianism, eastern Christianity and Islam. The communal religious Truth or Theosophy discovered will drive away the unfounded fear of religion. Religion and science are actually parallel because both disciplines are the creams of the process philosophy. To be more exact, science is the subset of the universal set of Religion.
Interestingly, the work of the scientists at the LHC at Geneva is both scientifically as well as spiritually significant. Firstly, it provides the scientific witness to vindicate or invalidate that the universe was formed after the Big Bang about 13.7 billion years ago. Secondly, the new discovery of the scientific truth will help us better discern the eternal Truth of God (Brahman, Tao, Buddha or Allah). The eternal Truth of the Absolute has been universally accepted as the principle behind the manifestation of the universe (macrocosm) in relation to the human mind (microcosm).
Conclusion
The discovery of subatomic particles of neutron, proton electron and sub subatomic particles of quaks and leptons has vindicated the position of Buddhism that every phenomenon is empty of inherent existence and is the unity of dependent conditions. It has also testified the Process Theistic’s stance of Monotheism that God is the necessary existent dependently co-arisen from the unity of contigent beings. Gratefully, the truth of Particle Physics or Atomic Science is compatible with that of the principle of dependently co-arisen Unity or Non-duality promulgated by Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Neo-confucianism and Monotheism hitherto. I dare bet with anyone with HKD100 that the Truth of God or Buddha cannot be invalidated because the God or Buddha is the eternal Truth of ‘ IT is and IT is not’. Being an eternal Truth, IT is forever true. Go, go, together we go to seek IT beyond the shore.
