Happy Wesak Day! Sukhi Hontu

Thank you for subscribing to www.buddhistdoor.com!

Much celebrations are going on in town due to the Buddha’s Birthday. Master Thich Nhat Hanh will give a series of talks and medication retreat in Hong Kong starting May 11. The 81 years old Zen master is going to teach us the arts of meditation and living in the moment. He also shows us how to lead a simple and honest life, which has impacted the lives of many people around the world. He brings from Plum Village of France, methods of stress management, to release us from worries of mundane life. It brings us right “home” to our true self, which is innately wholesome, spiritual, stable, calm, and pure.

May is also the month of Mother’s Day. A month to thank our mothers for bringing us to this world. To be grateful to her kindness, we walk on the path of the Buddha, to take refuge in the three jewels, and to study and practice dharma, so that we are free from sufferings and on the way towards enlightenment.

This is a path we must bring our parents along and hold their hands tight. This is something they can treasure more than material things and worldly comfort that we also  provide.    On the path of dharma, may families and all sentient beings find wisdom,  peace,  and harmony.

Blessings for the mothers ! Please find Mother’s Day  E-cards to send to your mother in our web page.
