In an international city such as Hong Kong flooded with East-West information, Buddhism flourishes and people get accesses to all forms of teachings. Believers and non believers are able to browse through different centers, monasteries, methods, and teachers like a shopping spree. When the thrill of studies, meditation, and practices cools off, everything falls back to mundane, and those who has tasted everything once again do not know where to turn. This is a problem – not integrating spiritual learning with daily life. It is just another busy schedule on top of our very busy schedule, called spiritual shopping which does not bring any benefit. It turns out to be another form of stress in disguise.

Concentration in learning is essential if one wants to learn a subject well. We need wisdom to choose a teaching suitable for us and stay with it. Don’t shop around !
Once you find your teaching, focus on it, and do it patiently step by step, eventually you will flourish in body, mind,  and spirit instead of another drain.

We have received numerous responses and support from our readers, and we are working hard to improve our content. We hope to share better articles and pictures with you.

Buddhist Door has expanded with a few more topics: International Buddhists Local Bulletin”, “Daily Buddhist News”. We have also added onto the Buddhist Glossary with nearly 30,000 words, which has become the largest data base on Buddhist dictionary on the internet. “Buddhist Arts” has brought in more contents on Chinese Buddhist arts.
