8. KING BIMBISARA OFFERING ALL HIS KINGLY GLORY

Siddhartha went to the south and arrived at Rajagaha, the capital of Magadha kingdom. The king, Bimbisara was impressed by the princely appearance and peaceful demeanor of this strange ascetic and would like to ask Siddhartha to stay and share all the kingdom glory with him.

Siddhartha told Bimbisara that he did not want the kind of luxuries he used to own but already renounced. He had retired from the world and was in search for the supreme and absolute enlightenment, but promised that when he obtained the Enlightenment, he would visit Rajagaha again.
