The main feature of this issue is the Heart Sutra. It is our honour and pleasure to have Dharma Master Hin Hung presenting his talk on the Heart Sutra in Tung Lin Kok Yuen, Canada Society in Vancouver in November 1995. The Heart Sutra (with outline) and the explanation of the Three Classifications are the handouts of his talk.

In conjunction to this presentation of the Heart Sutra, we made an elaboration on the meaning of the Heart Sutra phrase by phrase. Such commentary begin in this issue and we anticipate to take three issues to complete the explanation of the whole sutra.

Our section on Buddha's Life and Buddhist art continue. You probably notice that the cover page of the Buddhist Art section has a new look in the design. We hope you like it.

The elaboration on Heart Sutra marks the beginning of our effort to present the fundamentals of Buddhism to the readers. From the next issue onwards, we will start some new sections on Buddhist Teaching in a more systematic way in order to bring a fuller picture of Buddhism to the readers.
