Mahᾱyᾱna Psycho-Ethics

K.S.Chow

The knower does not exist
Neither does the known exist
Owing the process of knowing exists
Knowing is process becoming of Non-duality
Non-duality is Emptiness
Emptiness is the thought of no-thought (wu-nien)
No-thought is absence of I-concept
No-thought gives birth to non-action
Non-action is action of perfect virtue
The Truth can not be known by a knower
The Truth is known by the process of knowing
Knowing is the Unity of the knower and the known
Unity is the only Absolute Reality
Thought of no-thought produces supreme virtue.
 No-thought is the Buddha-mind
Buddha-mind is mother of great compassion
Thought of Great Compassion is the mother of all ethics

Editor’s Note:

Anattᾱ wisdom generates sublime virtue. ‘Sῡnyatᾱ wisdom also produces sublime virtue. Anattᾱ is ‘Sῡnyatᾱ and ‘Sῡnyatᾱ is Anattᾱ. Both refer to the same Process Reality of dynamic process becoming arisen from the unity of contigent causes and conditions. Whoever upholds right view of the Process Reality of the dynamic process becoming consummates his or her  sublime virtue. It is unwise to highlight the distinction between Theravᾱda tradition and Mahᾱyᾱna tradition. What is most significant is to rectify the mind so that original True Self of Man is redeemed to manifest human intrinsic sublime virtue. The mind and behaviour are correlated. Whoever masters his or her mind masters his or her behaviour. Gotama Buddha promulgates that the Mind is foremost. It conditions one’s moral or immoral action.
