Welcome to the third issue of "Buddhist Door", a monthly Internet magazine on Buddhism.

This issue's feature section is on "Buddhism in a Nutshell", presenting to the readers the fundamentals of Buddhism. As a starting point, we will talk about some characteristics of Buddhism and the attitude in learning Buddhism.

Part III of Buddha's Life covers the initial period of Buddha's preaching after the attainment of the enlightenment. We continue to present a series of images of Buddhist art with a collection from the Dunhuang Frescoes from China in this issue. Our extensive glossary of Buddhist terminology continues to grow. Starting from this issue, the glossary will include annotations in Chinese for the individual terms with explanations still just in English.
