Thank you for your continuing support in viewing the fifth issue of our Internet Magazine "The Buddhist Door".

"Buddhism in a Nut Shell" Part 3 covers the two topics: Leading a Buddhist Life (Five Precepts and Ten Good Deeds) and the Principle of Cause and Effect. In these two topics, we try to present an introduction to the basic practices of a Buddhist in the daily life. This is the continuation of our effort to provide some insight to you for your endeavour in the pursuit of Buddhism.

The section of Dharma Speech returns in this issue with the famous speech by the Thai Venerable Ajahn Chah talking on "Our Real Home". He talks about the impermanence and the way we can follow to reach real peace of mind.

In "Buddhist Art", we continue to present some of the Guan Yin images from the Chinese paintings. In "Buddha's Life", you can read about Buddha's preaching and Buddha's permission to allow women to join the Order and become nuns.

Acknowledgement for the sources of some text and images : The images, titles as well as the text in the section of "Buddha's Life" are taken from "The Illustrated History of Buddhism" by The Young Men's Buddhist Association, Rangoon, reprinted by The Thervada Buddhist Society of America. The speech "Our Real Home" is from a pamplet by Ajahn Chah.

We hope that you enjoy this issue. If you have any comments or suggestions, please let us know. We look forward to seeing you again in May.
