Thank you for your continuing support in viewing the eighth issue of our Internet Magazine, "The Buddhist Door".

"Buddhism in a Nutshell" Part VI covers two topics: the Five Aggregates (the Five Shandhas) and the Thirty-seven Conditions of the Bodhi Way. In the first topic, we try to present the view of the external world and an analysis of the personal experiences from a Buddhist's perspective. In the second topic, we present the conditions for following the Bodhi Way, which will eventually lead to the Eightfold Noble Path.

The section on famous characters in Buddhism covers Samantabhadra Bodhisattva in this issue. "Buddha's Life" continues to the Part VIII.

As a continuation to last issue's introduction of the "Diamond Sutra", we present the first sixteen chapters of the English translation of the Sutra. This version of the Sutra was translated (from Kumarajiva's Chinese translation) by the Buddhist Text Translation Society of the Dharma Realm Buddhas Association. There is also an article on the "Bodhicitta" from Reverand Eshin, Director of the Zen Society of Vancouver, B.C.

Acknowledgement for the sources of some text and images : The images, titles as well as the text in the section of "Buddha's Life" are taken from "The Illustrated History of Buddhism" by The Young Men's Buddhist Association, Rangoon, reprinted by The Thervada Buddhist Society of America.
