    The Best of Ajahn Brahm

    February 11th, 2012(Saturday) 6:30pm to 9:30pm

Bhavana Meditation Centre cordially invites you to join this meaningful fundraising dinner at The Park Lane Hong Kong hotel.

Not only is this dinner a precious opportunity for us to express our gratitude for Ajahn Brahm's Hong Kong Teaching Tour 2012; it will also help realize a wish of further establishing a Nunnery - the Dhammasara Monastery in Gidgegannup, the suburb of Perth, Southwest Australia. Since the current meditation huts and the communal cottage are inadequate for use, constructions of a meditation hall, a dining hall and accommodation are in need of financial support. These buildings will allow more female aspirants to practise and be trained as ordained Buddhist nuns. In this future new home, the venerable nuns will continue to light up the Path of Enlightenment for all the people across the Asia-Pacific region, and to guide visiting lay female practitioners to experience the Taste of Freedom in meditation.

Ajahn Brahm, the Abbot of Bodhiyana Monastery in Perth Australia, is a renowned Western monk teaching meditation around the world including Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Apart from leading retreats and regular meditation sessions in Australia, he dedicates his time to counsels at prisons and hospitals. Over the course of his 8-day visit to Hong Kong in 2012, he will be leading a 6-day retreat and a Day of Mindfulness, and giving two public talks. We hope that you can join our mindful dinner and in those activities as well.
