Starting from this issue, we present the development and the teachings of Tien-tai Sect, one of the major sect in Mahayana Buddhism in China. As there are many comprehensive ideas and profound concepts arising from this sect, it may take three issues to complete the introduction. For the Sutra Commentary, we continue with Chapter One of the Sutra on the Past Vows of Earth Store Bodhisattva. Again, as the commentary made by Master Hua is very detailed and fairly long, we intend to devote more time to present it as a whole, rather than pieces of extractions.
